Your true landed cost includes: product price, inland transportation (factory to port), packing and fumigation, ocean freight, marine insurance, port charges, customs duties, port handling, inland transportation (port to your warehouse), and any inspection or agent fees.

For a typical 20-foot container shipping from India to Europe or North America, the additional costs on top of product value can add 15-30% depending on the product, destination, and shipping method.

Inland Transportation

Getting your goods from the factory to the port is a real cost. India's road infrastructure has improved significantly, but transporting heavy goods like stone or furniture from inland locations (Jodhpur is 600km from the nearest port) adds meaningful expense.

Packing and Fumigation
